Garage Door Cable Repair & Replacement
Garage door cables work with the springs to raise and lower the door evenly. When a cable frays, jumps off the drum, or snaps, the door can hang crooked, bind in the tracks, or come down unsafely. We inspect the whole system and replace cables as a pair so the door tracks straight again.
Signs you need it
- The door hangs crooked or one side is higher than the other
- A cable is visibly frayed, loose, or hanging
- The door is stuck partway or jammed in the track
- You see a cable that has come off the drum at the top
What we do
- Cable replacement in pairs with the correct length and gauge
- Drum and track inspection to find what caused the failure
- Re-seating and re-tensioning so the door travels level
- Safety check of springs and rollers while we're in there
